Orlando Magic Draft Watch: 3 Games To Go!

After gift wrapping the 3rd spot in the NBA Draft Lottery for the Celtics on Wednesday night, the Orlando are once again slotted to have the 3rd most ping pong balls in this year's Mega Draft!

The Magic started the day tied with Boston at 23-55 on the season. The Celtics having already locked up the tiebreaker between the two. 

Despite giving up 32 and 10 to "Big Al" Jefferson, the Rondo-less Celtics couldn't find a way to get their 11th straight loss on Friday night in Boston. Big games from Bradley, Sullinger, Green and Bass earned the C's a win that had fans yelling at their televisions all over Beantown. 

Why?


Because the for the first time in 3 games, the Magic pulled together as a team and earned an L against the Washington Wizards, 86-96.

At 23-56, Orlando now has a 1 game game advantage over Boston and Utah in the all important win column. If they lose-out, the Magic will have the 3rd best chance at winning the #1 pick. And more importantly, have the 3rd best chance of securing one of the top 4 picks.

Orlando wraps up the season against Brooklyn, Chicago and Indy. All games they should lose.

Don't forget, the Magic also get either the Knicks or the Nuggets pick (the higher of numerical value)
Even after winning 5 of their last 8, it appears the Knicks are going miss out on the playoffs¹ and land the Magic with another lottery pick. Denver and New York currently sit 10th and 11th in the Lottery Standings. Setting Orlando up for another high pick in the deepest Draft in since 2003.
